This equipment has 6-phase voltage and 6-phase current output, which is suitable for various types of relay protection device tests. The six-phase relay protection tester can output 120V voltage per phase, 30A current per phase, and 180A current in parallel for six phases. The instrument uses a high-performance industrial computer as the control microcomputer and directly runs the Windows operating system. The device panel has a 10.4-inch LED display, touchpad mouse and optimized keyboard, which can be used directly without an external mouse or keyboard. The back panel of the device is equipped with a USB port and a communication port for convenient data access, data communication and software upgrades.


Section 1 Hardware composition of the device


1. Built-in high-performance industrial control computer


This device uses a high-performance industrial computer as the control computer, equipped with a self-recovering CF card, and a 10.4-inch 800×600 resolution LED true color display. The machine is equipped with a high-performance dedicated industrial keyboard and mouse, which can be used directly without connecting external peripherals. The software is in Windows It runs under XP operating system and is easy to operate. The device panel is equipped with two USB interfaces, which can be used for convenient data access, data communication and software upgrades. (Multi-function interface can be upgraded)


2. DSP digital signal processing system


The 6000 series DSP controller is used as the core, and the FPGA programmable logic device outputs the waveform. Because the DDS hardware output waveform technology is used, the waveform frequency and phase accuracy are quite high. At the same time, the system communicates with the industrial computer directly using the USB2.0 interface, making the data communication stable and reliable.


3. D/A and A/D conversion


The high-precision D/A converter is used, and the active low-pass filter is used at the same time to make the output waveform smooth and the amplitude-frequency characteristics excellent. At the same time, the control system also retains 12-channel 12-bit A/D conversion circuits, which can collect the output waveforms of 12 analog quantities in real time and display the actual output waveform, amplitude and phase on the screen through software.


4. High-precision linear voltage and current power amplifier


The current and voltage adopt the direct coupling output method of high-performance linear amplifiers, so that the current and voltage sources can directly output AC and DC waveforms, and can calculate and output various square waves and harmonic superpositions through software. Combined waveforms, fault transient waveforms, etc. can better simulate the current and voltage characteristics of various short-circuit faults. The power amplifier circuit uses imported high-power high-fidelity modular power devices as the power output stage, combined with a carefully and reasonably designed heat dissipation structure, with sufficiently large power redundancy and thermal capacity. The power amplifier circuit has complete overheating, overcurrent, overvoltage and short-circuit protection. The current loop allows open circuit and will not damage the device. The panel has a current open circuit indicator to facilitate users to check whether the wiring is correct. At the same time, the panel also has a voltage overload or short circuit indicator. When the voltage loop (when there is output) is short-circuited, The indicator light lights up and the buzzer alarm is activated. The high current time limit uses unique hardware and time limit circuits to overcome the shortcomings of traditional software time limits, making the use of high current safer and more reliable.


5. Switching input and switching output


The device has a total of 8 pairs of switching input terminals and 4 pairs of switching output terminals. Both the input and output are composed of photoelectric isolators and 24V DC relays. The working power supply is an independent 24V working power supply, so there is a 24V DC voltage between the COM terminal and the input. 6. Dedicated independent DC power output


The device is equipped with two 110V DC power supply voltage outputs, which are connected end to end to form three terminal outputs of +110V, 0V, and -110V. They can only be used as the working power supply of the protection device, and cannot be used as a DC operating power supply. The two terminals +110V and -110V can output 220V DC voltage.

Section 3 Device Panel and Side Panel Description





1. Display screen: The display screen is a 10.4-inch LED LCD screen.


2. Device auxiliary power supply: It can output DC ±110V power supply, with a maximum current output of 2A, which can power the protection device.


3. Switch input: It is used to collect the switch signal output by the protection device and measure the time.


4. Switch output: It is used to control other devices, passive nodes, with a maximum capacity of AC220V/1A.


5. The first and second groups of current output terminals: IA, IB, IC and Ia, Ib, Ic, a total of six channels, IN is the common terminal. The LED is on to indicate the current source open circuit.


6. The first and second groups of voltage output terminals: UA, UB, UC,, Ua, Ub, Uc, UN are the common terminals.


7. LED working indication: LED flashing indicates waiting for work, and LED is always on to indicate working.


8. Touchpad: It is similar to the touchpad of a laptop computer and can be controlled by touch in all directions. Left and right keys: The left key is the confirmation key, and the right key can view the file properties.

10. RST: DSP control board reset button. When the software shows that the data transmission fails or there is no device connected, press this button to reset the DSP board. At the same time, the USB device mark will appear in the lower right corner of the screen.


11. Communication port: USB communication can be connected to a laptop to control the instrument; network port communication (optional) can realize multi-machine control function, and can also control the instrument by single-machine network port communication.


12. USB expansion interface: There are two USB interfaces, which can be connected to USB devices such as mouse, keyboard, and U disk.


13. Heavy load and light load switch, the switch is turned up for heavy load, and turned down for light load. When the current is output for a long time, it switches to the light load position.

Section 4 Test Precautions


1. The tester has a built-in industrial computer and Windows operating system. Please do not turn on and off the host power too frequently.


2. The device panel is equipped with a USB port, which allows hot-plugging of USB port devices (such as USB flash drives, etc.), but please note that the plugging and unplugging must be done after the data transmission is completed.


3. The device is equipped with a dedicated self-recovery CF card to avoid damage to the operating system caused by illegal shutdown, deletion or modification of files on the hard disk and icons on the desktop. If you really need to store data in the machine, please save the data in the D drive. When using a USB flash drive to copy data, please make sure that the USB flash drive is clean and virus-free, and do not use the USB flash drive to install other software programs in this system.


4. When connecting an external keyboard or mouse, do not plug it into the wrong port, otherwise the Windows operating system cannot start normally.


5. Do not turn off the power directly in the output state to avoid output errors during shutdown and misoperation of protection.


6. The input quantity is compatible with empty contacts and potential (0-250VDC). When using energized contacts, the high end (positive) of the contact potential should be connected to the common terminal COM.


7. When using this instrument, do not block or close the vents of the machine body. Generally, the instrument should be placed upright or with the support legs opened and slightly tilted.


8. It is forbidden to introduce external AC and DC power into the voltage and current output jacks of the tester. Otherwise, the tester will be damaged.


9. If the on-site interference is strong or the safety requirements are high, before the test, please reliably ground the ground end of the power cord (3-core) or the device grounding hole.


10. If there are problems such as interface data errors or device failure to connect during use, you can solve them as follows: press the reset button to reset the DSP; or exit the running program and return to the main menu, re-run the program, and all interface data will be restored to the default value.


Section 5 Power on/off steps


I. Power-on steps


1. First, plug the tester power cord into the AC220V power socket, turn on the host power, and start the Windows XP operating system on the industrial computer. After the startup is complete, the host automatically enters the main interface of the tester software.


2. Connect the current and voltage circuits, then turn on the power switch of the power amplifier. If necessary, connect the input quantity and select the corresponding software module for testing.


Notes:


①. When connecting the current circuit, sparking may occur, which is normal and there is no need to worry. The current circuit has an AC voltage of about 20V. When the circuit is short-circuited, this voltage disappears automatically.


②. Check whether the wiring is correct. When the current open circuit indicator lights up red, it means that the wiring of the current circuit of this phase is incorrect; the voltage short circuit has no output and cannot be restored to normal by itself. When the voltage circuit is troubleshooted, the power supply of the device should be turned off, and the power supply of the device should be turned on after 5 seconds. At this time, the voltage output is normal, which means that the wiring is correct. If there is no output, it means that the voltage source is damaged and needs to be returned to the factory for repair.


2. Shutdown steps


1. First, stop the test, and the power switch of the power amplifier flashes.


2. Then close the test software menu. Click [Shutdown] in the [Start] column. When the Windows operating system prompts [Safe to shut down], turn off the host power, unplug the relevant test cables, and then put the instrument into the packaging box.
